The Student Advisory Service can help students in a number of different ways:

Housing services

  • Residence Halls
Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences does not maintain any residence halls itself, but the Studierendenwerk Düsseldorf runs several halls located close to our Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort Campuses.
  • Private Flats
The majority of students in Germany rent rooms in private flats. Unlike with residence halls, generally students in private flats must pay a security deposit (‘Kaution’ in German) and rental contracts have a minimum duration of six months, though this can vary.
  • Other info
While we can’t arrange a rental agreement for you personally, our Welcome Centre is always ready to offer advice or help you with correspondence or conversations in German.

With around 2,000 hospitals nation-wide, residents of Germany enjoy a comprehensive and locally-available access to health care services. Nevertheless, the health care and hospital sectors in Germany are in a constant state of flux as they adapt to changing political and social demands and new requirements arising from fundamental shifts in population demographics.
