Founded in 1583, the University of Edinburgh is one of the world's top universities. We are globally recognised for our research, development and high-quality teaching, attracting some of the world's leading thinkers to work and study here.
Edinburgh Law School is situated on the Universitys central campus, at the historic Old College in the heart of Edinburgh, minutes from both the highest Law Courts in Scotland and the Scottish Parliament.
The City of Edinburgh has been a major centre for Law since the Middle Ages, and for over 300 years we have trained generations of the worlds finest legal minds, sustaining a history of fine legal scholarship and education.
Today we are larger and more diverse than ever. With a dynamic, outward-looking and research active ethos, and several specialist research centres, we attract leading as well as promising young legal scholars from all fields and from around the world.
We are currently ranked in the top 40 Law Schools in the world (QS World University Rankings 2012) and 11th in the UK (The Guardian University Guide 2013).

Edinburgh Student Law Review
The Edinburgh Student Law Review is the first of its kind in Scotland. Managed and written entirely by the Schools student body, it aims to provide a forum for law students to engage in a more analytical approach to the study of law.
Students from all levels and legal disciplines are encouraged to submit articles, case notes and updates, which are published in the Review each year.
We understand that postgraduate study can be a significant financial commitment. We therefore have a range of scholarships and bursaries that can make the difference and ease the financial burden.
As a student at Edinburgh, you will be joining a vibrant community of like-minded intellectuals. We have one of the most diverse student populations of any Scottish university with 11,000 students from over 130 different countries contributing to our cosmopolitan and multicultural learning environment.
